Lantern Engineering is best known for its 'Magic' Yard Ramps used for container and truck loading and unloading. From our efficient and versatile workshops near Doncaster, we also provide first class products for other companies requiring the very highest quality machined or fabricated components in a range of materials.
We manufacture a range of our own finished products including mobile yard ramps for loading shipping containers by forklift, spiral tubes for HVAC, Baxhall impact sockets, tooling and spares for the railway industry and specialist fastening tools for many industries.
Lantern yard ramps are widely regarded as the toughest on the market and are available for rental or out-right purchase. Lantern yard ramps consistently out-perform other less well engineered yard ramp designs, and our special heavy duty yard ramps for the recycling industries are leaders in their field.

OUR COMPANY HISTORY
Lantern Engineering Limited has operated under its current management and ownership since Autumn 1992.
The new Board immediately embarked on an ambitious programme to consolidate all areas of the company, and establish financial and technical stability from which future expansion could be made.
Since then the Board have transformed the companies fortunes dramatically, becoming a successful and profitable company with a strong financial performance and commitment to its customer base.

There has been major investment in CNC machine tools for the machine shop, new factory space, modern equipment for the fabrication shop and computers both for production and general administration purposes.
Lantern Engineering also manufactures the Magic Yard Ramp container loading system and the Baxhall range of impact sockets.
Today Lantern Engineering is that rare combination of machine and fabrication shop normally found in much larger companies.
